Giftedness is one of the domains whose meaning and scope have been continuously discussed in parallel with intelligence but yet can’t be defined thoroughly. It is a complex concept and its definitions change frequently according to ever-updated perceptions of the nature of intelligence. Most widely used definition of giftedness and talent is that of Françoys Gagné (2003). According to Gagné “Gifted students are those whose potential is distinctly above average in one or more of the following domains: intellectual, creative, social and physical. Talented students are those whose skills are distinctly above average in one or more areas of human performance.”

Professionalising in Teaching
Education is the key factor for each individual to grow as a person who has advanced skills which feature in today's work life that requires continuous innovation and further improvements. Within educational institutions, teaching professionals are the most important determinants of how learners perform. Thereby, teachers are considered as the key to improving the performance of the learners. Research suggests that teachers' impact on students' achievements is nearly %50 comparing to other environmental factors and students' personal characteristics and investing on teachers' continuous professional development is more essential than making efforts with improving the life quality of the society as a whole.
